Dinner Plain MTB Park
About this ride
Dinner Plain MTB Park delivers beautiful high-country riding through the snow gums and alpine meadows of Victoria’s Dinner Plain village. The park features around 26km of pedal-access singletrack, with 7 green, 8 blue and 1 black trail, making it particularly good for families, newer riders and intermediates while still offering something for those wanting to step things up. Highlights include the berms and rollers of Sir Jax Pump A Lot, the scenic Moby’s Old Dog, New Tricks, fast and flowy Shut Up Ollie, and black-rated Jabba-Wookie, where rocks, berms and a quicker descent add more technical challenge. With accommodation, cafés, pubs, toilets, water and repair stations all within the village, it’s an easy place to park, stay and ride. RTS Tip: Make a weekend of it and add the Brabralung Trail, which links Dinner Plain with Mount Hotham through snow gum woodland and open alpine plains for a 26km return ride. Dinner Plain’s MTB trails are generally a green-season experience, operating around October to May depending on snowfall, so check conditions before travelling. There’s currently no bike hire in the village, so BYO bike.
