With the Bogong Alpine Way now sealed, the 235 km Alpine Loop can be ridden on bitumen from Falls Creek, circling through Mount Beauty, Bright, Mount Hotham, Dinner Plain and Omeo. It packs in several major climbs including Tawonga Gap, Mount Hotham and the notorious back of Falls, with roughly the distance and climbing of the Peaks Challenge course. Ride self-sufficient, plan resupply in the towns and check road and weather conditions before heading out.
