Forrest MTB Trails – Yaugher
About this ride
The Yaugher Network is the northern half of the famous Forrest MTB Trails and delivers a more traditional cross-country experience through dry eucalypt forest and spectacular grass-tree country. Sitting just north of Forrest township, the network ranges from beginner through to expert, with a greater concentration of technical black trails than the Southern Network. The 12km blue-rated Yaugher Super Loop forms the backbone of the network, linking into trails including Grass Trees, Marriners Run, Foxtail, J2, Yo Yo, Casper Black, Barre Warre and Vista. With relatively little elevation but plenty of fast singletrack, obstacles and technical features, Yaugher proves you don’t need huge climbs to get a serious workout. RTS Tip: Use the Yaugher Super Loop as your base and add side trails depending on your ability — it provides access to the wider network and makes navigation much easier on a first visit. You can also leave the car in Forrest and ride around 5 minutes up the Tiger Rail Trail to the Yaugher Trailhead. Download the trail map or Trailforks before heading out, and check current trail conditions before riding.
