Gahnia and Serrata Mountain Bike Trails

Gahnia and Serrata mountain bike trails are a named, purpose-built MTB network in Garigal National Park on Sydney’s north shore, not a card for the whole national park. NSW National Parks describes 6.5 km of hand-built singletrack in the Bantry Bay valley. Both trails have an IMBA rating of more difficult (blue) and are suited to experienced riders. NPWS grades the outing as hard. Serrata starts from Currie Road trail (Frenchs Forest): unique sandstone features, a 1.5 km descent through eucalypts, then a steep climb on Cook Street trail for a 2.85 km loop. Gahnia is accessed via Grattan Crescent, Forestville and the Bluff Track, winding 2.25 km through forest before connecting with Engravings trail. A 2.6 km on-road link connects the two trailheads. Trails are open sunrise to sunset; night riding is prohibited. Do not ride in the wet. Lat/lng are left blank: no OpenStreetMap way named Gahnia or Serrata was found, and street parking on Grattan Crescent / Currie Road is not the trail start. Use NPWS visitor-info directions. Informal Forestville Park trails (Daisy Duke and others) are not this network and were not added.
