Happy Valley Reservoir Reserve
About this ride
Happy Valley Reservoir Reserve is about 35 minutes from the city in Adelaide's southern suburbs, and SA Water says all of its paths are suitable for mountain bikes. There are four shared loops. The Southern Loop (2 km) and Woodland Loop (4 km) are easy and good for beginners. The Boundary Loop (10.5 km) and Shoreline Loop (11 km) are intermediate rides for skilled mountain bikers, running along the water's edge and through pine forest, native bush and open grassland. A trail link also connects to Glenthorne National Park – Ityamaiitpinna Yarta. Trails are shared with walkers and runners. The reserve is open 7.30am to 5pm (8pm in daylight saving) and closed on Total Fire Ban days. No dogs.
