Hope Valley Reservoir Reserve
About this ride
Hope Valley Reservoir is Adelaide's oldest and smallest working reservoir, and the first metropolitan reservoir reserve opened to the public. Its 4.6 km network of unsealed shared trails loops around the reserve boundary, crosses the 800 m dam wall and winds through native vegetation, with views over the water to the hills. It links directly into the O-Bahn Bikeway, so it's an easy, family-friendly add-on to a north-east ride. There are picnic tables, a barbecue and a nature playground. Open 7.30am to 5pm (8pm in daylight saving), closed on Total Fire Ban days and Christmas Day. No dogs.
