About this ride
Jubilee Park in Toowoomba, Queensland, is one of the region’s premier mountain bike destinations, with more than 28 km of purpose-built singletrack spread across 313 hectares of bushland on the Toowoomba escarpment. Developed and maintained with significant support from the Toowoomba Mountain Bike Club, the network caters for riders from beginner through to expert, with everything from hand-built XC singletrack and machine-shaped flow to rock gardens, drops, jumps, technical descents and dedicated downhill riding. Jubilee Park is also home to Queensland’s first legal downhill mountain bike track. Popular trails include Dirty Granny, Centrelink, Turkey, Rollercat, Viper, Highlife, Reaper, Cheeseburger and the double-black Mackenzie Frenzy, while numerous linking trails allow riders to create longer loops and gravity-focused sessions. With access from Bridge Street, Harvey Street and Amos Road, Jubilee Park is a must-ride destination for mountain bikers visiting Toowoomba and the Darling Downs. RTS Tip: Jubilee Park has a huge amount of variety, so check the trail grading before dropping into something unfamiliar — the difficulty can quickly progress from flowing green and blue trails to serious black and double-black terrain. Stick to the signed official MTB trails, as unsanctioned “pirate” trails also exist throughout the escarpment and are not part of the authorised network. For a first visit, download the trail map and use the short linking trails to build a loop that matches your ability and riding style.
