About this ride

Kingston MTB Park, also known as Kingborough Mountain Bike Park, is a compact riding area within the Kingborough Sports Precinct south of Hobart. The park was designed to cater for everyone from kids and beginners through to experienced riders, with short flow trails, dirt jumps, an asphalt pump track and skills-focused riding. Trails include the beginner-friendly Kids’ Corner, the flowing Holy Roller, and more challenging options featuring jumps, berms, drops and technical features. Important current update: The existing MTB park is being relocated as part of redevelopment of the Kingborough Sports Precinct. Kingborough Council advises that the current park closed from 26 July 2026 to allow construction of the AFL High Performance Centre and new sporting facilities. A replacement mountain bike park and pump track are planned within the precinct, while a temporary pump track at Kingston Park is also being delivered. RTS Tip: Check the current park status before planning a ride. The original Kingston MTB Park is affected by the major Sports Precinct redevelopment, with a new MTB park planned for the site in the future. In the meantime, Kingston Park has beginner cycling facilities including a learn-to-ride track, with a temporary pump track also planned as part of the transition.
