Lindsay Mayne Criterium Track

Lindsay Mayne Criterium Track is a purpose-built closed-loop cycling circuit at Lindsay Mayne Park, Unanderra, Wollongong. OpenStreetMap maps it as Illawarra Criterium Track on Normandie Place, Unanderra. Wollongong City Council lists the criterium track and the adjacent Illawarra Velodrome as open to everyone and used regularly by Illawarra Cycle Club. Nearest entry to the criterium is off Factory Road; velodrome entry is off the Princes Highway. Opened in September 2022 (and used for the 2022 National Masters and Junior Championships), the 2026 Brennan Illawarra Tour technical guide describes a 1 km circuit of tight and sweeping all-left-hand turns, with a long sweeping corner opening onto a finishing straight of around 100 m. An earlier AusCycling construction note described a 950 m design, 6–8 m wide, ridden anti-clockwise. Illawarra Cycle Club’s summer criterium series is listed on Buncheur at this track. Non-motorised wheels (including scooters and rollerblades) are also welcome on the public circuit when it is not closed for racing.
