Linga Longa Bike Park

Linga Longa Bike Park, near Balingup and Greenbushes in Western Australia’s South West, is a privately owned gravity mountain bike park and one of WA’s standout destinations for downhill and enduro riding. Set in the hills at Southampton, the park combines substantial elevation with natural terrain and purpose-built trails ranging from green through to double-black, including flowing descents, technical rock sections, steep terrain and seriously big jump lines. A dedicated progression skills area gives riders somewhere to develop their technique before stepping up to the more demanding gravity trails. A major part of the Linga Longa experience is the shuttle uplift, allowing riders to maximise descending time without repeatedly pedalling roughly 200 metres of elevation back to the top. The park is a regular venue for WA Gravity Enduro racing, coaching and rider-development events, and its mix of flow, technical descending and large features has made it a well-known destination within the Western Australian MTB scene. Unlike many trail networks, Linga Longa is also set up as a complete MTB weekend destination. Facilities include camping, toilets, hot showers, a café, bike wash facilities and drinking water available from the café, allowing riders to stay on-site and make a weekend of it. As it is a private bike park, access is through designated ride days, events and bookings rather than unrestricted everyday trail access. RTS Tip: Linga Longa is all about gravity, so take advantage of the shuttle and build into the harder trails rather than going straight for the biggest features. A full-face helmet is mandatory during WA Gravity Enduro activities at the venue, and protective equipment is strongly recommended for this style of riding.
