Merrylands Oval Outdoor Velodrome is an outdoor cycling track at Merrylands Park in western Sydney, used by Parramatta Cycling Club for summer track racing and year-round training. OpenStreetMap maps a named leisure track “Outdoor Velodrome (Parramatta Cycling Club)” at Merrylands Park. The club’s racing page lists Merrylands Oval, Burnett Street, Merrylands, for summer track racing and all-year training. Parramatta Cycling Club runs Monday night junior-only sessions (6:00–7:00pm) and Wednesday night training (6:00–8:00pm) on the lit track. The club says new junior riders are welcome with any type of bike, and that loan bikes are available for juniors. Wednesday sessions welcome road, track or mountain bikes. The club’s history page says track racing moved to Merrylands Oval in the late 1960s and that the club still trains and occasionally races there. This is a club training and racing facility, not a public criterium park. Confirm session times on the club site before you visit.
