From town, riders can head in almost any direction and quickly find themselves on quiet gravel roads weaving through jarrah forest, pine plantations, river valleys and rural countryside. There's riding here for plenty of different adventures. Build a shorter gravel loop from town, spend a full day exploring the surrounding backroads or link Nannup into a bigger bikepacking trip through WA's South West. The famous Munda Biddi Trail also passes through the region, opening up even more possibilities for riders wanting to travel further. Don't expect flat, easy gravel everywhere. Nannup's rolling landscape can pack in some serious elevation, with long climbs, fast descents and constantly changing terrain making the region particularly appealing to riders looking for a challenge. The quality of the gravel riding has also put Nannup firmly on the international cycling map. The region is home to the SEVEN Gravel Race, while in 2026 the world's best gravel riders will descend on Nannup for the UCI Gravel World Championships. But you don't need a race number to enjoy it. The huge network of gravel roads surrounding town means Nannup is just as good for riders wanting to slow things down, explore the forests and spend a few days discovering Western Australia's South West by bike.
