Noosa Hinterland - The Cooroora Traverse

The Cooroora Traverse is one of the best short gravel adventures in the Noosa Hinterland, offering a more off-road experience through the heart of the Noosa Trail Network. Beginning near Cooran, the route winds through forests, farmland and quiet gravel roads while providing spectacular views of the iconic Mount Cooroora. With a much higher percentage of unsealed riding than many of the region's other gravel routes, riders can expect flowing forest trails, rolling gravel roads and occasional technical sections featuring rocks, roots and uneven terrain. The ride also passes through the welcoming hinterland towns of Cooran and Pomona before returning towards Noosa. Despite its relatively short distance, the varied terrain provides an engaging ride for those looking to step beyond beginner gravel routes.
