North Lawson Ridge
About this ride
Starting from the National Park gate at the end of Binnowee Drive Lawson, this 18 km return trail has around 440 meters of elevation gain. Following Lawson Ridge Firetrail, riders are treated to a dense tree canopy that provides welcome shade, sandstone formations and erosion caves line the side of the trail. The route features a mix of steady climbing, several steeper pinches, and fast rolling descents that keep the ride engaging from start to finish. Although the entire route follows a firetrail, a worn singletrack line in the leaf and bark litter often develops along the main trail, adding an enjoyable and flowing riding experience. At the turnaround point, riders are rewarded with views towards Mount Hay and the surrounding Blue Mountains landscape. No Facilities or water onsite
