Northern Beaches Leisure Trail

The Northern Beaches Leisure Trail is Cairns Regional Council’s expanding shared walking and cycling network aiming to link Palm Cove through the northern beaches toward the Cairns CBD. Council describes a meandering, slower-paced alignment suitable for families, prams, wheelchairs and bikes. Open sections include Palm Cove–Clifton–Kewarra Beach (including the Deep Creek bridge link) and connections such as the Barr Creek bridge between Holloways Beach and Machans Beach. Not every CBD link is finished yet — ride the open coastal sections and check council project pages for the latest openings. Pin at Palm Cove as a northern start.
