About this ride

Parklands Mountain Biking Trails Parklands Conservation Park, just north-east of Nambour on the Sunshine Coast, is a favourite for riders who enjoy natural, old-school mountain biking. The park has 13 dedicated MTB trails plus around 15km of shared trails, winding through tall eucalypt forest, rainforest gullies, rocky platforms and creek lines. Expect roots, rocks, tight turns, switchbacks, steep pinches and technical natural features rather than smooth machine-built flow. The dedicated network includes 2 easy, 8 intermediate and 3 difficult trails, giving riders plenty of options to link together different loops. Lush provides a good introduction for newer riders, while trails such as Tazer, Blue Tongue and Road Rage step things up with increasingly technical terrain. There’s also a mountain bike skills area near the Radar Hill Road trailhead. RTS Tip: Parklands is known for being rocky, rooty and technical, and the network can be surprisingly tricky to navigate on your first visit, so download the official Queensland Parks map or Trailforks before heading out. Trails can become slippery and muddy after heavy rain and may be temporarily closed to protect them, so always check current park alerts before riding.
