Mount Lennard / Pile Road Trails

The Pile Road Trail Network, part of the Mount Lennard trails in Wellington National Park near Collie, is a classic Western Australian mountain bike destination known for its natural, old-school singletrack through beautiful jarrah forest. Now incorporated into the much larger Wambenger Trails network, Pile Road offers predominantly blue intermediate riding, with flowing cross-country trails, steady climbs, fast descents, granite outcrops and technical features, plus a handful of black and double-black options for experienced riders. Unlike newer machine-built bike parks, much of the riding here retains a more organic feel, with gentle gradients that reward riders who can maintain momentum. Grizzly is one of the standout trails, weaving for 5.4km through mature jarrah forest with bermed turns, log rides and views across the lower Collie River Valley, while Boylan provides a 6.7km climbing route that can be combined with Grizzly for a great loop. A dedicated jump area at the bottom of the network adds doubles and tabletops for riders looking for some airtime.
