Six Foot Track
About this ride
Six Foot Track, Megalong Valley to Coxs River Campground After the initial fire road, this section of the Six Foot Track is a rough, slow adventure ride with plenty of hike a bike. Expect rocky pinches, steps, narrow singletrack, and multiple stiles/fence crossings where you’ll be lifting your bike. You can’t take bikes across the swing bridge, it’s walkers only, so you’ll need to carry your bike through the river instead if crossing. Water levels vary, but it’s usually knee to thigh deep. Once you’re at the Cox's River Campground, the trail becomes gravel road, from here, there are options like Jenolan Caves via Black Range Road or loop back around Jenolan Caves Road and towards Mt Victoria, or return the way you came. Best suited for MTB riders who enjoy rugged, exploratory terrain. You cannot ride bikes on the Six Foot Track from Katoomba down to Nellies Glen section. Toilets at Old Ford. Cafe in Megalong Valley or plenty of options in Blackheath.
