Skippy Park & Criterium Circuit – Landsborough Skippy Park in Landsborough on Queensland’s Sunshine Coast is a family-friendly recreation park with a purpose-built sealed cycling circuit wrapped around its oval and playground. The traffic-free setting makes it particularly good for kids, beginners and recreational riders, while more experienced cyclists can use the circuit for fitness, cornering practice and faster training laps. Sunshine Coast Council lists the criterium circuit at 1.1 kilometres, while Adventure Sunshine Coast maps the complete circuit at approximately 1.3 kilometres. Either way, it’s a short, smooth and predominantly flat loop, making it easy to keep adding laps until you've had enough. For younger riders, Skippy Park is an especially handy place to learn to ride away from traffic. The even bitumen surface gives kids space to build confidence on bikes and scooters, while experienced riders can use the bends to practise carrying speed and improving bike handling. It's also an easy place to bring the whole family. Alongside the cycling circuit you'll find a large playground, flying fox, climbing equipment, open grassed areas and exercise equipment, plus shelters, barbecues, picnic tables, drinking water, toilets and onsite parking. The park takes its name from the kangaroos that regularly visit the surrounding parkland and bush. Nearby options include the Ewen Maddock Dam trails, while Adventure Sunshine Coast also suggests the old North Coast Road towards Beerburrum and Glass House Mountains for another relatively flat ride.
