Splendid Park Criterium Circuit
About this ride
Splendid Park Criterium Circuit is a purpose-built sealed cycling circuit at Splendid Park, Yanchep, in Perth’s northern suburbs, home to Northern Beaches Cycling Club. The club’s Splendid Park page describes Western Australia’s first UCI-standard criterium circuit: a 1.4 km asphalt course, 6 m wide, with an 8 m wide finishing straight for 200 m, plus a permanent pit area, registration shelter and bike racks. OpenStreetMap maps leisure=track cycling ways through Splendid Park. City of Wanneroo (search-indexed council page) lists the Criterium Track at Splendid Park, Yanchep as supporting casual riding, racing and bike education, open for free public access when not booked, and names Northern Beaches Cycling Club as the home club. The club says the circuit is suitable for kids’ learn-to-ride sessions, school competitions and criterium events, with youth squad training Monday and Thursday afternoons from 4:30pm. This is a public closed circuit in a sports precinct with playground, skate park, change rooms and toilets. The live hub Northern Beaches Cycling Club is this WA club — not a NSW Northern Beaches club. Confirm bookings and race days before you expect a clear lap.
