Stuart O'Grady Bikeway
About this ride
Stuart O'Grady Bikeway is a 23-kilometre fully sealed shared path running parallel to the Northern Expressway between Gawler and Waterloo Corner on Adelaide's northern fringe. South Australian Trails describes a flat, wide bitumen path suitable for wheelchairs, prams, children on training wheels, road cyclists and walkers, with rest stops along the route, parking at the Gawler and Waterloo Corner ends, and a 2022 connection into the Barossa Trail corridor at Gawler. The path is named for South Australian Olympian Stuart O'Grady. OSM maps the named cycleway through Munno Para West / Hillier and Penfield. RTS Tip: Link north onto the live Barossa Rail Trail / Gawler Greenway cards for a wine-country or city-bound extension & carry water; SA Trails notes the corridor is exposed.
