Sunset Strip Bike Jump Park
About this ride
Sunset Strip Bike Jump Park is a purpose-built jump park on Phillip Island, opened by Bass Coast Shire Council in May 2026 at the junction of Phillip Island Road and Back Beach Road — the turn-off toward the MotoGP circuit and Penguin Parade. Council and South Gippsland Sentinel-Times reporting describe a small triangular council road reserve converted into the first project from Council’s Mountain Bike, BMX and Pump Track Implementation Plan. The park has three purpose-built trails: Sunset Blvd (smooth beginner), Ice Box (intermediate) and Express (advanced). The mayor is quoted saying there is something for everyone, whether just starting out or chasing something more adventurous. Trails were built by Local Trail Co. Bass Coast Mountain Bike Association contributed to the design; that group is not an exact hub club name, so associated_club is blank. Lat/lng are left blank: no OpenStreetMap feature named Sunset Strip Bike Jump Park was found. Do not pin the road junction centroid. Use Council’s published location at Phillip Island Road and Back Beach Road, and park in designated bays rather than nature strips.
