The Australian Alpine Epic

This is a physically demanding ride designed for experienced mountain bikers who are confident riding black-rated trails and capable of being completely self-sufficient. Preparation is essential. Weather can change rapidly in the alpine environment, mobile reception is limited in places, and there are long sections without services. Carry plenty of water, food, tools, spare parts and appropriate clothing, and consider organising a vehicle shuttle from Mirimbah back to Mt Buller before setting off.
