About this ride

Tyrolean & Mill Creek MTB Trails – Jindabyne Tyrolean & Mill Creek is one of Jindabyne’s best-known mountain bike networks, sitting beside Lake Jindabyne near Tyrolean Village and offering a brilliant mix of flowing green trails, hand-built singletrack and more technical blue and black riding. Snowy Monaro Regional Council describes it as a stacked-loop network catering for all MTB ability levels. The network currently has around 23 mapped MTB trails covering roughly 22km, with everything from approachable family-friendly riding through to rocky technical lines. Copper Tom Trail and Mill Creek Trail are popular green options and provide easy connections between Jindabyne, the lake and the main trail network. From there, riders can step things up on trails including Felicity’s, Golden Oldie, Pink Trail, Julio, Huff ’n’ Puff and Bunty’s, with a mixture of machine-built and hand-cut riding. Expect flowing berms, rocky sections, technical climbs, natural features and fast descents, all packed into a relatively compact area. A huge advantage is the connection with the wider Jindabyne Shared Trail. The developing network links Tyrolean and Mill Creek back towards Jindabyne and around Lake Jindabyne, making it possible to ride from town rather than drive to the trailhead and build the MTB trails into a much bigger ride. The area is also undergoing a major upgrade in 2026. Recent works have included upgrades to Knights in Shining Armour and Golden Oldie, a new Mill Creek Trail carpark connection, new trails and bridges, with further trail rebuilds and connections underway as the Jindabyne Shared Trail project approaches completion. The network is cared for by Jindabyne Trail Stewardship, whose volunteers play a major role in maintaining and improving the trails. For riders searching for Jindabyne MTB, Tyrolean MTB Trails, Mill Creek mountain biking, Snowy Mountains MTB or mountain bike trails near Lake Jindabyne, this is an essential network to have on the ride list — and a great complement to the bigger alpine riding around Thredbo and the Snowies. RTS Tip: With the 2026 redevelopment still underway, current mapping and trail status are particularly important here. Several trails have recently been closed or realigned for rebuilding, while new trails and connections are opening. Check the latest status before heading out rather than relying on an older GPX or trail map.
