About this ride

Bunyaville Conservation Park is a popular mountain biking playground on Brisbane’s northside, combining purpose-built singletrack with an extensive network of shared forest trails and management roads. The park has 10 officially designated MTB-only trails, predominantly blue intermediate with two black difficult options, plus plenty of connecting trails for building longer cross-country loops. Highlights include the flowing Gum Nuts, creek-crossing Creek Trail, twisty Zig-zag, climbing-focused Sugar Glider and Mini Van, while experienced riders can step things up on Jurassic and the steep Carnivore. Expect classic SE Queensland riding with roots, rocks, creek beds, punchy climbs and natural technical features, all within easy reach of Brisbane. RTS Tip: Bunyaville is best explored by linking the MTB trails with the shared network, so grab the official map before setting off and create your own loop. Jurassic and Carnivore are rated difficult, so newer riders should stick with the intermediate trails until they’re comfortable with the terrain. Avoid riding after heavy rain or when trails are soft and muddy, and remember that cyclists must give way to walkers and horses when using shared trails.
