Canterbury Tempe Velodrome

Canterbury (Tempe) Velodrome – Sydney Canterbury Velodrome, commonly known as Tempe Velodrome, is a historic outdoor cycling track on Bayview Avenue in Earlwood, Sydney, and an important home for track cycling in the city's Inner West. The 333-metre concrete track features banked corners reaching approximately 32 degrees, providing a proper outdoor velodrome experience for riders developing their speed, fitness, bunch-riding skills and track cycling technique. The velodrome has a particularly strong connection with Dulwich Hill Bicycle Club, one of Sydney's oldest cycling clubs. The club was involved in the construction of the velodrome and continues to use the track for regular training, junior development and track cycling activities. Regular coached sessions give riders opportunities to experience track cycling, from juniors and newcomers through to experienced racers. Track bikes can also be borrowed during club sessions, making this a great place for Sydney riders interested in trying the discipline for the first time.
