About this ride
Cornubia Forest Park in Logan is a brilliant slice of mountain biking between Brisbane and the Gold Coast, with a compact network of purpose-built singletrack woven through almost 200 hectares of protected bushland. The riding is predominantly intermediate, with trails including the 3.1km Birdwing, 1.8km Spangled Drongo, 1.7km Wallum Froglet, 1.5km Stupidly Happy and 1.2km Ginger Gully, plus the easy Flowmy Loamy and black-rated Resurrection for riders looking to step things up. Expect classic South East Queensland riding with flowing forest singletrack, roots, rocks, short climbs and fast descents, with fire trails and access tracks making it easy to link together different combinations. RTS Tip: Cornubia is particularly good for intermediate riders, but check the grading before dropping into unfamiliar trails — Resurrection is rated difficult while most of the network sits at blue intermediate. Download Trailforks before you ride and avoid the trails during or immediately after wet weather; Logan City Council recommends staying off if your tyre tread is sinking around 2cm into the surface.
