About this ride
Dwellingup Trails is one of Western Australia’s premier mountain biking destinations, with a huge and growing network of purpose-built trails running directly from town into the surrounding jarrah forest. The town-side Dwellingup MTB network now connects through Marrinup to Turner Hill, creating around 68km of dedicated singletrack, with green and blue cross-country trails, flowing descents and technical features for progressing riders. Just south of town, Murray Valley adds more than 50km of purpose-built riding inside Lane Poole Reserve, ranging from beginner-friendly flow through to serious black descents packed with jumps, rock gardens and drops. Add Tom’s Crossing, the historic Marrinup Circuit and the long-distance Munda Biddi Trail and Dwellingup easily earns its reputation as a place worth spending several days on the bike. RTS Tip: Start at the Dwellingup Trails and Visitor Centre for current trail conditions, maps and local advice before choosing your ride. If you’re new to the area, explore the town and Marrinup trails first, then head into Lane Poole Reserve for the Murray Valley network when you’re ready for bigger descents. Entry fees apply to Lane Poole Reserve, and there’s no drinking water at the Murray Valley trailhead, so fill up before leaving town.
