Blue Mountains BMX

Blue Mountains BMX Club has been introducing riders to the excitement of BMX racing since 1981, providing a welcoming, family-friendly environment where everyone from toddlers to adults can get involved. Located in Lawson in the heart of the Blue Mountains, the club caters for riders from Mini Wheelers (2–4 years) through to competitive riders aged 50+, making it a fantastic destination for riders of all ages and skill levels. The purpose-built BMX track offers a fun mix of rollers, berms, rhythm sections and jumps that help riders develop confidence, bike handling skills and race technique. Regular club race days are held every second Saturday afternoon, creating a friendly atmosphere where new riders are always welcome, while gate practice sessions during the week give licensed riders the chance to sharpen their starts and improve their skills. If you're new to BMX, the club makes it easy to get started. Loan bikes and safety gear are available for many new riders, and AusCycling's free four-week trial membership allows you to experience BMX racing before committing to a full membership. It's a great way for the whole family to discover one of cycling's most exciting disciplines. More than just a race track, Blue Mountains BMX Club is built around community. Volunteers, families and riders work together to create a supportive environment where friendships are formed, skills are developed and riders can progress from their very first gate start through to state and national competition.
