Gipps Street Recreation Precinct is a huge 32-hectare sport and recreation destination in Claremont Meadows, Western Sydney, built on the site of a former waste facility and transformed into a community hub with something for almost every age and activity level. For riders, the highlight is the 245-metre floodlit pump track, located within the precinct’s youth zone alongside a skate park, multi-sport courts and parkour facilities. The pump track is free to use and designed to cater for riders looking to practise skills, build confidence and have some fun on two wheels. The wider precinct makes it particularly appealing for families and mixed riding groups. There is an inclusive children’s playspace, nature play, outdoor fitness equipment, picnic areas, BBQs, toilets and more than 500 parking spaces. There are also extensive sporting facilities and an off-leash dog park. The precinct is open 6am–10:30pm daily, with the youth zone floodlit until 9pm, making the pump track an option for an evening ride as well. Bikes can be ridden in the designated pump track area.
