Warwick Velodrome

The Warwick Velodrome is an outdoor cycling track located at Australiana Park on Wallace Street in Warwick, Queensland. The 333.33 m bitumen track provides a dedicated venue for track cycling and training, with banked corners and lighting making it one of Queensland’s established regional velodromes. The velodrome underwent a significant resurfacing and restoration in 2021, helping preserve the facility and improve the riding surface. It continues to be used by developing and competitive cyclists, with Southern Downs Regional Council highlighting its high-quality surface, accessibility and banked design as key strengths of the venue. Unlike many competition-focused velodromes, Warwick is particularly appealing because of its community accessibility. Southern Downs Regional Council encourages public use of its parks and specifically identifies Australiana Park as having a velodrome for cycling enthusiasts. In 2025, Council also described access to the velodrome as free and unrestricted, making it a useful training option for riders who want to experience track-style cycling without travelling to a major indoor facility. Australiana Park also has plenty to offer families and recreational riders, with toilets, picnic tables, shelters, play equipment and a BMX track located within the same reserve. This makes it easy to combine some velodrome laps with BMX or a relaxed family riding session.
